Would you like to increase productivity in your business and life? Do you operate with clear intentions? Do you intend to be great or just average? When you are productive on purpose, you are able to lead yourself and others to leave a lasting legacy. You realize that activity is not the same as productivity.

Increase Productivity Using Courage, Confidence, and Commitment

To do your best work you must have courage, confidence, and commitment.  You must be intentional about setting a plan and implementing that plan. This can be challenging because we all have competing priorities which makes it easy to become overwhelmed. Therefore to overcome these challenges, you must:

  1. Have the courage to say “no” to the tasks that do not move you towards your goals.
  2. Be confident and see yourself as a winner, not a whiner.
  3. Commit to putting your best foot forward every day.

Leaving a Lasting Legacy

Once you have committed to doing your best work, you can be guaranteed of leaving a lasting legacy. To determine what legacy you want to leave behind, you must begin with the end in mind. If I asked you what do you want people to say about you at your 80th birthday party what would you say? Once you think about the answer you will start to do those things necessary to realize results.

Following are a few suggestions to help you on your journey to increase your productivity and live to your full potential:

  • Watch your thoughts. What you think about you bring about.
  • Watch your words. Scripture says “life and death are in the power of the tongue.”
  • Know what you value and stay true to those values.
  • Put first things first.
  • Make a plan to achieve your goals, then work your plan.
  • Follow up and follow through on that plan.
  • Enlist a team that will support you.
  • Celebrate your incremental successes.

It’s time to wake up and take action. Tomorrow isn’t promised to any of us.
